Teams
Multiple systems, one install, on every engineer’s Mac.
The Efficient Router, Context Manager, Guardian and Adaptive Intelligence work in Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, on each engineer’s machine. Your engineers can use OptiFlume today, each on their own Pro account. Team features are not available yet: we are building them with a few early teams, and the form on this page is how to join them.
What works today
- Each engineer on their own Pro
- Every engineer signs up with their own account, gets the 30-day trial with no card, then subscribes. One account covers all of their Macs and every tool.
- Decisions stay on the laptop
- OptiFlume decides on each engineer's Mac, in Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, in the editor and in the terminal. It never sends prompts or code anywhere.
- Every switch in plain sight
- Each switch shows in the tool with a one-line reason, and an engineer can keep their own model for any prompt. Their console counts every switch, and they can share a summary with you.
- Security review, answered
- A public security page, a data flow you can draw on a napkin, and one of our engineers on the call.
What we are building with early teams
None of this is available yet. Early teams help decide what comes first.
- A team view in the console
- Counts per engineer and per project: prompts, the models that ran, switches and, in Cursor, spend avoided. Never prompts or code.
- Shared policy
- Which models a repository may use, and a minimum model for security-sensitive code, set once for the whole team.
- One invoice
- One subscription and one invoice for the team, instead of one per engineer.
For security, IT and finance
Can several of us each buy Pro today?+
Yes. An account is for one person, so each engineer signs up with their own, starts their own 30-day trial and subscribes to Pro themselves, monthly or yearly. Each subscription is billed on its own. Buying several seats in one checkout, one invoice for the team and purchase orders are not available yet; tell us if you need them.
Who sends the receipts and invoices?+
Pro is processed by Stripe through Managed Payments, with Link (a Stripe service) as the merchant of record: Link issues the receipts and invoices and handles sales tax. Each engineer gets their own by email, ready to expense.
Can we roll it out with Jamf, Kandji or another MDM?+
The installer is a standard macOS package, signed by OptiFlume and notarized by Apple. It sets OptiFlume up for the person signed in to the Mac, so push it while the engineer is signed in. Claude Code and Codex need no permission. In Cursor, Accessibility permission lets OptiFlume finish an automatic switch and send the prompt on the new model; you can pre-approve it with a PPPC profile, and without it OptiFlume suggests the model and the engineer switches.
What data do you hold about our engineers?+
Their account (email address, name and sign-in providers), their sign-in sessions for each browser and Mac, their plan, and, unless they turn it off, daily counts of what OptiFlume did. Never prompts or code. The privacy policy lists every field.
SSO, SCIM, SOC 2, a DPA?+
Sign-in is Google, GitHub, Apple or an email link today; SSO is on the team roadmap. There is no SOC 2 report yet: OptiFlume decides on each Mac, and our servers hold very little. Ask us about a data processing agreement.
Can engineers overrule it?+
Yes, on any prompt: an engineer can always choose not to route a prompt and keep their own model (how, in each tool). They can also pause OptiFlume for a project or turn it off. It is built to be overruled, which is what makes it safe to roll out.
What if Cursor, Claude Code or Codex changes something?+
OptiFlume fails open in every tool: if something goes wrong, the prompt goes through unchanged on the engineer’s own model. If a Cursor update breaks automatic switching, we pause switching on that Cursor version the same day, and suggestions keep working until an update ships. The status page shows anything paused right now.
Windows or Linux engineers?+
macOS only for now. Windows and Linux are on the roadmap.
