Changelog

What changed in each release of OptiFlume, newest first.

1.1.1 · 8 October 2026

  • Claude Code and Codex turn on by themselves after an automatic update too, so there is nothing to set up.
  • Updates install themselves on Macs without Cursor: Claude Code, Codex, VS Code and the terminal all check for them.

1.1.0 · 8 October 2026

  • Automatic model switching in Claude Code and Codex: the panels in VS Code (and in Cursor and Windsurf), and claude and codex in the terminal.
  • Start a prompt with ~ to keep your own model in Claude Code and Codex.
  • One license covers every tool on your Mac.
  • On by default. Choose on the installer's Customize page, or later with optiflume harness off and optiflume terminal off.
  • Codex: approve OptiFlume's hook once in Codex → Settings → Hooks to see the reason for each switch.
  • Editors open during the install show a “Restart VS Code” notice.
  • Account and plan notices in VS Code, and an OptiFlume item in its status bar.

1.0.4 · 30 September 2026

  • Chooses among Cursor's newest models, including Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Fable 5.1 and GLM 5.3.
  • Model prices stay current: OptiFlume uses Cursor's published prices as they change, without waiting for an update.
  • When Cursor asks whether to keep or revert files after an automatic switch, your files are kept.
  • The “Turn on Pro in Cursor” button works straight away.
  • Messages and commands say OptiFlume everywhere, and optiflume configure can pause it.
  • Local logs and caches no longer grow without limit.

1.0.3 · 28 September 2026

  • The Update button installs the new version in the background.
  • The “updated itself, Reload Cursor” notice clears once you have reloaded.
  • A clearer notice when this Mac is signed in.

1.0.2 · 25 September 2026

  • Turning on Accessibility for Cursor is noticed right away, without restarting Cursor.
  • optiflume update --check says whether a newer version is ready; optiflume update installs it.
  • Commands keep working while an update replaces them.

1.0.1 · 22 September 2026

  • Updates install themselves: each one is checked (signed by OptiFlume, notarized by Apple, fingerprint verified) and installed in your user folder, with no password.
  • OptiFlume asks you to sign in when Cursor starts, not only when a chat starts.
  • The Accessibility button opens System Settings with Cursor already listed.
  • Models Cursor has just added are recognized sooner.

1.0.0 · 18 September 2026

  • Visible auto-switch in Cursor: the model changes, a plain-words note above the composer says why, and the prompt re-sends on its own. Start a prompt with ! to keep your model.
  • Capability-first selection: the most capable model at close to the lowest price for the task, tuned to how you override it (Pro).
  • Working memory: a handoff when a long conversation is compacted, carried across switches (Pro).
  • Session watchdog and the Guardian.
  • Free 30-day Pro trial with a free tier after it, sign-in with Google, GitHub, Apple or an email link, self-check and doctor.
  • Usage on the web (now in the console), from a daily rollup you can turn off.

What’s next

Planned next:

  • Context shared across your tools: a session started in one tool continues in another.
  • More tools: Antigravity and GitHub Copilot.
  • Team usage and team-wide routing policy.
  • Windows and Linux.
