Adaptive Intelligence

The intelligence that learns your intention.

A router that treats everyone the same is wrong for everyone. Adaptive Intelligence reads the code a task touches and how the session is going, not only your words, and on Pro it learns how you judge difficulty from every prompt you send your own way.

Your call

on any prompt: keep your own model, and on Pro OptiFlume learns how you judge difficulty.

Local

index of your codebase, built from your files and kept in ~/.optiflume on your machine.

Zero

prompts, lines of code or learned habits sent to our servers.

Every file OptiFlume keeps, and the little that leaves your machine (plan check, updates, daily counts), is listed in What is stored where. What is stored where →

What it weighs that a keyword can't.

Not a keyword match: a judgment about how hard this piece of work is, in this codebase, at this point in the session.

01

What are you asking?

The prompt itself, and how much of the codebase it reaches.

02

What code does it touch?

The files the task involves, from a local index of your codebase. A one-line change can be trivial in one file and risky in another.

03

How is the session going?

How the conversation has gone so far, and whether it is making progress or going in circles.

04

How do you judge it?

On Pro, every prompt you keep on your own model teaches it how you judge difficulty. Your style, not a global average.

01

It reads the code, not only the words

The same one-line prompt can be trivial in one file and risky in another. Before deciding, OptiFlume looks at the code in scope, from a local index of your codebase, and at whether the session is making progress.

02

It learns from you

Every time you keep your own model for a prompt, it learns how you judge difficulty, and its next choices move toward yours. Your style, not a global average. On Pro.

03

Your rules, when you want them

Coming soon, on Pro first: rules in plain terms, such as "anything under /payments, always the strongest model", applied whenever they match. Everything else is still chosen for you, prompt by prompt.

04

What it learns stays with you

The index and what it has learned live on your machine. Nothing about your code or your habits is sent anywhere.

How you teach it, in every tool.

Choose your model and keep it for the prompt instead of letting OptiFlume route it. That prompt goes out on your model, and on Pro it is a lesson. The same in Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, in VS Code and the terminal.

How does it learn?+

On Pro, each time you send a prompt your own way, it notes how you judged that piece of work, and its next choices move toward yours. Only that prompt is affected; the next one is chosen as usual.

Is my code uploaded to build the index?+

No. The index is built on your machine from your files and kept in ~/.optiflume, on your machine. OptiFlume never sends your prompts or code anywhere.

Can I make it forget?+

Yes. What it has learned is kept in plain files under ~/.optiflume on your machine until you delete them.

Can I set my own rules?+

Coming soon, on Pro first: rules in plain terms, applied whenever they match. Everything else is still chosen for you, and still yours to overrule.
